Replacing the old Cardy slating
Daniel Ddu , or "Black Daniel", takes its name from the renowned bard who once lived at Y Gaer. A scholar of some repute he sought solace to pen his works in the inglenook fireplace which is still a feature of the farmhouse parlour.
Until recently this cottage was a example of traditional 'Cardy' slating but was recently renovated to improve heat insulation.
The front easterly facing patio benefits from the early morning sun. Ideal for that early breakfast before setting off for the day.
